Interesting take on the role of a facilitator

Hi Everyone,

Came across this video on youtube about a music teacher talking about how he looks at his role with his students. He is addressing a group of school leaders. Try and pay attention to how he defines his work for himself and how he goes about working with his students. In the process he also challenges some existing assumptions about how one looks at learning and the education system.

The way he has conducted his lecture is also interesting and one can learn a lot from his use of body movement, expressions, voice modulation and the use of flipcharts. I thought it would be good for us to see this, especially after the conversation between Rakesh and Nishant about facilitating large groups and still ensuring that everyone is engaged and learning in the process.

Do share your thoughts on this as comments to the post or on the blog otherwise. This can also be some food for thought for thinking about one's teaching philosophy.
